Tags are specific to each group, This is in addition to the global tags available to every group.
Create Tags
To create a tag for your group, in your group:
- Click Tags tab in your dashboard
- Click blue Add a new tag button
- Type the new tag's name in the textbox that opens following IU's writing guidelines
- Click Save tag button
Merge Tags
If you find that you group has two almost similar tags, you can merge them to avoid duplication. Follow these steps to merge to tags:
- Check boxes next to the tags you want to merge
- Scroll up and select Merge tags option from the selection box
- Select the tag from the selection box that shows up labeled Merge tag as
- Click Go button to merge the tags
- The two tags will be merged
Note: Any event tagged with the tags that got merged with the new tag will be appropriately tagged.
Star a tag
You can add a star to any tag that you create in your group. To add a star to you tag:
- Click the star next to the tag
- Click Save these changes button at the top
A tag is starred to showcase an event as a featured event. You can add /only_starred/true parameter to any Feed URL to just display just you starred events. You can also build a widget for just the starred events for your Calendar Group.
